Not many pictures from Pitesti.. huh.. ?

That's because I forgot my camera in Bucharest and I don't have very good quality pictures. Those two I considered that look good on the site. I have more pics but I don't want to publish quantity..but quality. I promise to put more pics from Pitesti in less than a mounth

Remember Pitesti ? The Tulips Town.. A new trip to this town.. Not very many chages since last year.. But still beautiful.. Still very colourfull :) I like this town because it has a lot of life in it and in the same time it is much restul then Bucharest and other big cities. I don't have many pictures from Pitesti 2006 yet cause last time I visited it I forgot to get my camera from Bucharest :( So I borrowed a camera and I took some pictures :)

There are several places where you can spend the night and eat Romanian traditional food or fish specialties. As you have probably gotten used to, you pay less than 15euros for these services and you can enjoy the beautiful flow of the river for free :) If you are "lucky" enough you can get a boat trip on the Danube

In the nearby of Drobeta-Turnu-Severin we use the hydroenergy of The Danube to generate electricity. From the "Iron Gates" the energy is transffered into the national energy system :)

Take a first look at the Danube..

This is the place we'll talk about. This will be a journey along the Danube. The road follows the river..and so we have the opportunity to see great sceneries. In this region the Danube represents the border between Romania and ex-Yugoslavia. So you'll see some images with Serbian land :)

New posts soon..The Danube Defile

It's been more than 3 months since our last update on this site.. We are sorry about that. We will try to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

I have realized that I can't travel so often and I won't be able to present you new photos from Romania every 2 weeks. So I decided to accept publishing photos from my relatives, from my friends..from anyone with good intentions. This way, you can ENJOY ROMANIA more and more..

There is one major disadvantage and that is that I can't offer you many details about regions that I've never seen. But if you'll ask me details I will try to do my best and provide you the best answer. But of course.. there's always GOOGLE

This week I will publish some pictures from the West of Romania. The photos will present the "Grand Canyon" of Romania and by this I mean The Danube Defile. This is a very beautiful region which I've never visited and I have to admit that I'm very angry for that :P
But we'll talk more about this..
